CAD Design Services in Pakistan

Professional CAD design services in Pakistan - 2D drawings, 3D modelling, assembly drawings, mechanical drafting and reverse engineering from our Rawalpindi office. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor and Fusion 360 expertise, with files that flow straight into our in-house CNC machining and fabrication bays.

CAD Design Services Offered

2D Mechanical Drawings

Production-ready manufacturing drawings with title blocks, BOM tables, GD&T annotations per ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101, surface-finish symbols, weld symbols, and dimensional tolerancing aligned to ISO standards. Output as DWG, DXF or PDF.

3D Modelling

Parametric solid modelling for parts, assemblies, weldments and sheet-metal designs. Surface modelling for complex geometries. Configuration management for SKU variants and family parts. Native files plus neutral STEP / IGES exports for downstream manufacturing.

Assembly Drawings & Exploded Views

Multi-component assemblies with mate constraints, motion studies, exploded views with balloon callouts, and structured BOMs. Used for production handover, training documentation and stakeholder presentations.

Technical & Manufacturing Drawings

Sheet-metal flat patterns with bend allowances, weldment cut-lists with stock-length optimisation, machining drawings with tolerance stack-ups, sheet-metal nesting layouts. Drawings written specifically for the machine that will cut them.

Reverse Engineering

Physical sample-to-CAD work for replacement parts, obsolete spares and unbranded equipment. Dimensional measurement using digital callipers, profile projector, hardness check and surface-finish reading; then drawings produced for a first-article machined or fabricated piece. Highest-demand service for plant-floor breakdown work.

Software Stack

We work in the standard mechanical CAD packages every Pakistani manufacturer can read and edit. No proprietary lock-in.

  • SolidWorks - primary 3D modelling environment for parts, assemblies, weldments, sheet metal and surfacing.
  • AutoCAD - 2D drafting, plant layouts, P&ID-style schematics, fabrication shop drawings.
  • Autodesk Inventor - alternative parametric modeller for clients standardised on the Autodesk stack.
  • Fusion 360 - cloud-collaborative design, integrated CAM, frame generators, simple FEA studies.
  • Mastercam & FeatureCAM - CAM authoring for the CNC bay, post-processed for our specific machine controllers.

When CAD Design Earns Its Fee

  • Product design - concept-to-production for new mechanical products. Iterative design loop, FEA-light validation, design-for-manufacturability review before tooling commits.
  • Manufacturing drawings - converting client concept sketches, hand drawings or reference samples into shop-floor-ready drawings for our own or another shop's CNC and fabrication work.
  • Reverse engineering - reproducing parts where the OEM has discontinued, the lead time is unworkable, or the documentation has been lost.
  • Prototyping support - rapid CAD iteration in tight design loops, with parts machined or 3D-printed in days, not weeks.
  • Drawing archive cleanup - redrawing legacy paper drawings into proper parametric models for engineering teams modernising their PLM systems.
  • Bid-package documentation - production-ready drawing packs needed for tender submissions or RFQ responses.

Our Design Process

Step 1
Brief. You share the design goal - sketch, sample part, reference photo, written spec, prior drawing, or just a description of the problem. NDA signed before any sensitive material moves.
Step 2
Concept. Initial design direction agreed - geometry, material, manufacturing approach, target tolerances. Rough 3D layout shared for sign-off before detail work starts.
Step 3
Modelling. Full parametric 3D model built. Assemblies, sub-assemblies, weldments, sheet-metal flat patterns and BOM generated. Manufacturing drawings drafted with GD&T applied.
Step 4
Revision. Two revision rounds included in base scope. Feedback consolidated per round; parametric model means dimensional changes ripple cleanly through every drawing and BOM.
Step 5
Final Delivery. Native CAD files, neutral STEP/IGES exports, drawing pack as PDF and DWG, and any rendering output. Files transferred via secure cloud drop, encrypted ZIP, or USB at handover.

Industries We Design For

  • Mechanical & industrial equipment - pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hoppers, dust-collector ducting, machine bases.
  • Automotive & trailer - bracketry, sub-assemblies, custom trailer frames, prototype tooling.
  • Architectural metalwork - staircases, balustrades, decorative facades, signage substructures.
  • Solar & renewable - PV mounting structures designed to local wind loads, battery enclosures, panel-tilt brackets.
  • Pre-engineered buildings (PEB) - primary frame design, purlin layouts, connection details for in-house fabrication.
  • Plant retrofit & replacement - reverse engineering of obsolete spares, replacement parts for breakdown response.
  • Product development - consumer-grade and B2B mechanical products feeding into prototype production at our CNC shop.

Sample Work

Selected design engagements. Client names withheld under NDA - image gallery added once professionally captured.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will Unitec sign an NDA before reviewing my design brief?

Yes - before any commercially sensitive material is shared. Standard mutual NDA template available, or we sign your template after legal review. Sensitive defense or pharmaceutical work additionally goes through a project-specific confidentiality protocol with named-engineer access only.

How many revision cycles are included?

Two revision rounds are included in the base quote. Each round covers reasonable scope adjustments off the agreed brief - feedback consolidated into one revision cycle, not piecemeal changes spread across days. Additional rounds are billed at the hourly rate or as a fixed-fee mini-package depending on scope.

Who owns the CAD files at the end of the project?

The client owns all final deliverables - STEP, IGES, native CAD files, drawing PDFs and any rendering output. Unitec retains a working archive for our quality records and for repeat-engagement convenience, but the client has the right to take the files to any other shop or designer at any time.

What CAD complexity levels can you handle?

From single-part 2D drawings through to multi-hundred-part assemblies, sheet-metal flat patterns with bend allowances, weldments with cut-list automation, surface and parametric modelling, and reverse engineering from physical samples. We can subcontract specialised analysis (full FEA studies, CFD) through partner consultancies if a job requires it.

What deliverable file formats do you provide?

Native: SolidWorks (SLDPRT, SLDASM), AutoCAD (DWG), Inventor (IPT, IAM), Fusion 360. Neutral: STEP (AP203/AP214), IGES, Parasolid (X_T, X_B), STL for additive workflows. 2D outputs: DWG, DXF, PDF with title blocks, BOM tables and GD&T annotations per ASME Y14.5 or ISO 1101.
