Fume extractor with an articulated arm that captures welding smoke at the torch, before it reaches the welder's breathing zone or the roof of the shop.
General roof ventilation moves welding fume around the building; it does not stop the welder breathing it, because the fume reaches their face long before it reaches the extractor. Capturing at source is the only approach that actually works, which is what the articulated arm is for - it stays where the welder positions it, a foot from the arc. Portable single-arm units suit a shop where the work moves; fixed multi-station systems suit fabrication bays where it does not.
Dust and fume work is a project rather than a purchase: hoods, ducting, collector, fan and controls all have to be sized together or the system underperforms from the first day. Unitec Trade Line designs, fabricates and commissions the whole installation from Rawalpindi, round spiral ductwork included, and hands it over balanced and tested.
Price is quoted on request. Send us your layout, the dust or fume you are dealing with and the number of pick-up points, and we will quote the system designed, supplied and installed.
