Twin-tower desiccant dryer that takes compressed air to a dew point a refrigerated unit cannot reach, for instrument air, outdoor lines and cold-climate installations.
A refrigerated dryer cannot go below freezing without icing up, so anything that needs genuinely dry air - instrument air, pharmaceutical processes, air lines that run outdoors through a Murree winter, or pneumatic conveying of powder that must not clump - needs adsorption drying instead. Two towers alternate: one dries the air while the other regenerates its desiccant, and the changeover is automatic, so the supply never stops.
A dryer and filter train is only right if it is matched to the compressor ahead of it and the process behind it.
