Ammonia is still the most efficient refrigerant available for large cold stores, ice plants, dairies and food processing, and it stays in use precisely because nothing beats it on running cost. The catch is that it corrodes copper and brass, so the entire machine has to be built copper-free with ammonia-rated seals and relief arrangements. These compressors are supplied in reciprocating or screw form depending on the plant size and load profile.
Gas compression is specified, not picked off a shelf: the gas, the inlet pressure, the discharge pressure and the duty cycle decide the machine. Send us those four numbers and we will come back with a package sized around them – imported, cleared and delivered by Unitec Trade Line from Rawalpindi, with commissioning and spare parts handled by the same team.
