Mild or carbon steel air receiver that buffers compressor output, steadies line pressure and drops out condensate before the air reaches the plant.
A receiver does three jobs at once: it carries short bursts of demand so the compressor is not starting and stopping all day, it damps the pressure swing that makes pneumatic tools inconsistent, and it gives the air somewhere to cool and shed water before it enters the ring main. Undersize it and the compressor cycles itself to death; size it properly and the whole system runs calmer. Every tank leaves us with a hydro test certificate.
Vessels are fabricated in our own shop, so the material certificates, the weld records and the hydro test certificate all come from one place and arrive with the tank.
