Plenty of stores need to lift a pallet onto racking twenty times a day and nothing more. A forklift is overkill for that, both in price and in the space it needs to turn, while a manual stacker is too slow once the lifts add up. An electric stacker sits between the two: powered lift and powered travel, operated on foot, narrow enough to work in aisles a forklift could not enter.
